Wayne Wright and Lisa Berntsen, co-owners of Port Orchard natural resources consulting firm, Applied Environmental Services (AES), have merged the firm, which they founded in 1993, with GeoEngineers, a Redmond-based engineering, science and technology firm with offices throughout Washington, Oregon, Idaho, Alaska and Hawaii.
“Joining forces with GeoEngineers and bringing expanded services to Port Orchard is very exciting,” Wright said. “We now can provide many more services to our clients in the Kitsap County area.”
AES, which has grown from a two-person partnership to a firm that serves hundreds of public and private clients throughout the Northwest and Alaska, is already known for its work in wetlands consulting, fisheries biology, wildlife investigations, and nearshore habitat assessments. Now as GeoEngineers, the firm brings expanded capabilities in geotechnical, geologic, hazardous waste management, groundwater, permitting, GIS, and planning to the Port Orchard office.
