The Washington State Housing Finance Commission, in conjunction with the Kitsap County Consolidated Housing Authority, will present a free, HUD-certified home buying seminar on Aug. 13 and 14 at the Silverdale Community Center, 9729 Silverdale Way. Hours of the event are 6 to 8:30 p.m. both evenings, and reservations are required.

The class, book and handouts are all free. The class will detail the home buying process as well as many of the government and non-government sponsored first time buyers and dopwn payment programs.
