Olympic College in conjunction with the Fleet & Industrial Supply Center (FISC) Puget Sound is hosting a Department of Defense (DoD) EMALL Supplier Conference on Aug. 14. This is a one-day event for regional, new and existing suppliers of FISC Puget Sound and its customers.

The conference will be held at the Olympic College, Student Center at 1600 Chester Ave. in Bremerton from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m. There is no registration fee to attend.

The DoD and Department of the Navy (DoN) Electronic Mall (EMALL) is currently a place for federal government customers and buyers to browse, locate and buy commercial off-the-shelf goods. The DoD EMALL will be the Navy’s one-stop buying site, and preferred choice for buyers.

Vendors wishing to sell their products to the DoD and DoN customers may be able to create an online “store” in this electronic mall. Local firms that want to give government buyers the opportunity to see their products should attend this conference.

FISC Puget Sound Contracting Office market managers are working to make EMALL even more valuable for their customers by profiling customers to identify their needs and the “best value” suppliers that will best meet them. This information will help to place negotiated, large, long-term contracts, BPAs and LOAs by aggregating requirements and leveraging their buying power bringing bigger value to customers.
