Art Anderson Associates wins GSA contract
Firm will handle construction management projects
in Hawaii, Guam and U.S. territories

Bremerton’s Art Anderson Associates has been awarded a contract with the General Services Administration (GSA) to provide construction management services for projects in Region 9 – Zone 4 including Hawaii, Guam, and U.S. Territories. This contract is Art Anderson Associates’ ninth one with GSA since 1986.

The firm’s construction management group has provided services on over 440 GSA projects ranging in size from $10,000 to the current $170 million United States Courthouse under construction in Seattle. The preceding eight Contracts have principally been with GSA Region 10 – Washington, Oregon, Idaho, and Alaska.

According to the company, the key to its win in Region 9, was rehiring Paul Witherspoon after his recent move back to Hawaii. Witherspoon managed and inspected numerous assignments on the firm’s current GSA Region 10 contract over the last four years. Interestingly, the firm established its relationship with Witherspoon on GSA’s INS project in Honolulu five years ago and hired him when the project was completed.

According to Contract Manager, Robert J. Brott, “Paul has seven years of construction experience in Honolulu prior to joining our firm, he’s very familiar with the design and construction environment in Hawaii.” Also assisting Art Anderson Associates on the contract will be Mark C. Olsen, a project architect in Hawaii, and the firm of Winzler & Kelly with offices in Guam and Saipan.

Established in 1957, Art Anderson Associates is a family owned business with local offices in Bremerton and Seattle, Washington, with four other office locations in the United States.
