On June 10, Kitsap Community Resources (KCR) will host an Open House at its brand new South Kitsap Family Service Center. Located at 1211 Bay Street next to St. Vincent DePaul & Bay Ford, the event will be from 1:30 to 4:30 p.m.

KCR has added another location to better serve its South Kitsap families. The new center will provide such services as WIC, WIA employment and training, housing, energy assistance, weatherization, parenting and family development services for South Kitsap residents in a centrally located Port Orchard facility.

One of the biggest barriers that KCR clients can face is transportation. “We feel that by creating locations around Kitsap County, our clients can reach us easier and we can help more people,” KCR Executive Director Larry Eyer said.
