KPS Health Plans has become the Washington Trucking Association’s (WTA) sole heath insurance carrier.

Association members now have three plans available to them. The Preferred Plan is the most comprehensive, with 90 percent reimbursement when using participating providers, as well as a low deductible. The Standard Plan has a higher deductible with 80 percent reimbursement at lower monthly premiums for those who want comprehensive coverage, but want to pay less per month.

The Basic Plan offers a co-payment for office visits, the highest deductible of the three plans, and covers preventive care at 100 percent. All plans offer three-tiered prescription drug coverage with different levels for generic, brand, and “non-preferred” drugs. WTA members also have dental and vision plan options through Guardian Insurance.

The WTA has over 1200 member companies throughout Washington.

The Association made the decision to contract with KPS after careful consideration. They said, The KPS provider network, and KPS’ plan flexibility helped to bring them to a final decision.
