Four area auto repair facilities in Bremerton have earned a 2002 AAA Top Shop Award for their outstanding performance.

In Bremerton, the two are L&R Automotive and Peninsula Subaru; in Port Hadlock, Circle & Square Global Car Service; and in Port Orchard, Bay Ford earned the award.

The AAA Top Shop Award is presented to dealerships and independent automotive repair shops that have earned top scores on AAA’s Customer Service Index. Shops are graded based on these criteria:

• Meet or exceed AAA’s standards of equipment, certified technicians and customer satisfaction.
• Guarantee their service or repairs to AAA members for 12 months or 12,000 miles.
• Offer AAA members a written estimate, if desired.
• Return replaced parts, if requested.
• Have member’s approval before doing any additional work beyond the estimate.
• Agree to let AAA arbitrate any disputes with members.
• Perform complimentary vehicle inspections to AAA members when having other services done.
