The Silverdale Chamber of Commerce is seeking nominations for its annual Accolades Awards night to be held Sept. 20:
The nominees for Business of the Year should be businesses that have, through financial and in-kind resources made a significant impact on the Silverdale Communitys economic and social well-being.
Additional criteria include significant and identifiable contribution in the past 12 months or on a continuing long-term basis; management which has taken an active leadership role in the community and encouraged and allowed staff to take part in efforts to promote and improve the community.
The Business Pioneer of the Year is sponsored by Kitsap Community Federal Credit Union and recognizes a business that existed prior to the Mall construction (1980 or before). The ideal candidates will be family/locally owned.
Red Lion Hotel Silverdale sponsors the Citizen of the Year award. For these three awards, the nominees do not have to be a chamber member. The Paul G Linder Service Award for Chamber Member of the Year will also be presented.
When nominating, please include name and contact information, the name and phone (if known) of the nominee, and a brief statement supporting the nomination, citing why the individual or business should be selected.
Nomination forms are available at the Chamber office at 3100 Bucklin Hill Rd. #219. Please review the awards to be offered and the criteria for selection and make your nominations.
