Westech Aerosol Corporation, a local producer of high quality, environmentally safe adhesives located at the Olympic View Industrial Park, has released an innovative new product; ULC40 Underlayment Cement.

ULC40 has been formulated to provide fast and easy spray-on application of underlayment material to roof decks. Although it is ideal for the manufactured housing industry, this fast tacking cement is also capable of bonding underlayment felts and papers to a variety of other surfaces.

ULC40 is sold in 40-pound canisters with a hose and spray gun for application and will significantly reduce application time and clean up over the troweling method commonly utilized. Underlayment material is usually applied with a bucket of lap cement and a brush from a kneeling position. With Westech’s canister system, applying the adhesive is as easy as walking down the roofline.

Also, since ULC40 is clear rather than black, and is easier to apply, there is no necessary clean up of cold press cement runoff. Coverage from a single canister is approximately 4,000 sq. ft. which is equal to 14 to 16 five gallon buckets of lap cement, depending on the applicator and porosity of the roof deck. ULC40 is low VOC for environmentally safe use in any location, contains no asbestos and exceeds ASTM Standard D3019.
