Bainbridge Island’s Positive Futures Network has released “Making Peace: Healing a Violent World.”

“’Making Peace…’ tells about the power and impact peace can have,” said Sarah Ruth van Gelder, executive editor of “Yes! A Journal of Positive Futures. “It shows that at all levels of society, and for all peoples, peace is possible. We will never have a world without conflict. But if we choose, we can rise to the challenge of peace. The consequences of choosing otherwise are becoming unbearable.

“To many, war seems the only way to achieve security, prosperity or democracy. As people around the world are surrounded by threats of violence, ‘Making Peace…’ shows that there is a better way.”
