Bahr, Miko honored with ‘involvement’ award

Jan Bahr, CPH of Roadhouse Nursery in Poulsbo recently received the Washington State Nursery and Landscape Association (WSNLA) “Jerry Rosso Involvement” award for the many and varied ways in which she actively supports the organization.

Bahr has participated in the WSNLA at both the local and state levels. She has served as Olympic Chapter treasurer, state director, vice president, president, and continues as secretary. Bahr has also served as president for the WSNLA State Board of Directors. She is the chair of the Certification Committee and has already received many well-deserved awards from WSNLA: Member of the Year in 1990, the President’s Award in 1995, and the PCN Outstanding Service Award in 1997.

Colleen Miko, owner of Colleen’s, A Landscape Design Company, has been honored as the WSNLA Member of the Year for her ongoing outstanding service to WSNLA and the industry

Miko has been instrumental in promoting community outreach on behalf of her chapter, and WSNLA. In addition, Miko participates in the community through serving on the Kitsap Trees Education Committee and she is the chair of the Northwest Flower & Garden Show display garden.

WSNLA is the only statewide trade association serving the Washington State nursery and landscape industry.
