Extensive Kitsap County property assessment information and satellite images are new free services available online.

Although in-person assistance will continue to be available at the courthouse, the new interface is expected to reduce reliance on personal contact and the number of calls or walk-in customers to county departments.

“We’ve used technology to enhance customer service and generate greater staff efficiency,” said Jim Avery, Kitsap County assessor. “Those with access to the Web can find what they need right on their desktops.”

As part of the County Land Information System, surfers can link to the Parcel Search Engine at the county homepage (www.kitsapgov.com) or the Assessor’s Web site (www.kitsapgov.com/assr). On site, users can zoom in on the county parcel map to find desired parcels, or enter a street address or a tax account number to find information on a specific property.
