Degree of Honor Association, a benefits society established in 1886, by women, is continuing its legacy of giving back to the community by donating proceeds of “Kitsap Cards” to the YWCA ALIVE domestic violence intervention and prevention programs. ‘Kitsap Card’ cardholders are entitled to a variety of discounts at local businesses, services and eateries.

Each book retails at $20. To support the effort, coupon booklets can be purchased at the YWCA Community Center at 905 Pacific Avenue in Bremerton, or by contacting a Degree of Honor representative at (360) 373-3080.

You can multiply the affect of your purchase by purchasing and donating Kitsap Cards back to the YWCA or to other non-profit organizations to benefit clients.

The resources help keep a shelter open 24 hours a day, 365 days a year, supports state-certified paid and volunteer staff, pays, heating and food, for approximately 200 women and children annually, and legal advocacy services, said YWCA Executive Director Linda K. Joyce.
