Is Bainbridge Island becoming one of the new marketing strongholds of Puget Sound? No. But it is showing up on the radar.
While the downtown corridors of Seattle and Bellevue have always been the headquarters for graphic design, advertising and public relations in the northwest, theres a spark of activity showing on the west side of the Sound.
This year, along with the five Bellevue and 19 Seattle firms named in the northwests annual list of Top 25 graphic design companies, was Daigle Design from Bainbridge Island. Its the third time in the past four years that this Kitsap-based graphic design company has made the Top 25 ranking.
Increasingly graphic design work is coming from the West side of Puget Sound, due in part to the growth of business and new telecommunications bandwidth throughout the Kitsap peninsula. Daigle Designs work comes from a mix of clients from all three markets Eastside, Downtown and the West Sound, in addition to out-of-state business. The company credits the use of the web for a better, faster and more visual communication with all its clients, local and distant.
Another Bainbridge company Quinn/Brein - made the Top 25 list this year in the public relations category. Quinn/Brein joined four Bellevue and 20 Seattle firms named. |
