Liberty Tax Services, with five locations in Kitsap County, has announced a new fund raising program for local non-profit organizations. Eligible groups will be asked to register prior to Dec. 10 and participate in the program from Jan. 10 to April 10, 2003.

Local franchise owners, Ken and Julie Wilkinson will donate up to $10,000 to participating local non-profits through this program during the upcoming tax season. They have adapted a company Send-a-Friend program to one that will allow tax preparation customers to present a gift certificate and designate a portion of their preparation fee to benefit their registered local non-profit.

“Non-profit organizations, sports teams, school bands, drill teams,” says owner Ken Wilkinson, “are the folks we’d like to help out.
