Seventeen leading book artists will explore the idea of the book as art in an exhibition at Bainbridge Arts and Crafts (BAC) in Nov. 2 through Dec. 1

Curated by Cynthia Sears and Janice Shaw, The Artist’s Book II is the second in a series of book art exhibitions.

Unlike traditional books, artist’s books have a variety of structures — scroll books, boxed books, pop-up books, flip books, accordion books and tunnel books. Some artist’s books contain words and images and some no words at all, so the form and materials of the book convey the story.

Participating artists include: Sam Garriott Antonacci, Mare Blocker, Mary Fontane Carlson, Linda Costello, Maralyn Crosetto, Elsi Vassdal Ellis, Alisa Golden, Margery Hellman, Charles Hobson, Kate Leonard, Mary Jeanne Linford, Catherine Michaelis, Patty Rogers, Sheila Ross, Hidde VanDuym, Ann Vicente, Sande Wascher-James.
