Dr. Robert Kelley a chiropractor and Dr. Ting Zhang a Chinese-trained acupuncturist have joined forces to offer an approach to care unique to the area.
Both chiropractic and acupuncture address health problems by stimulating natural healing responses. Chiropractic is best known by the results obtained for back and neck problems. Acupuncture work is found to effect both the nerve and hormone systems as well as other systems to improve regulation and control of bodily processes.
Both practitioners are operating individual practices, and now offer a team approach alternative.
The new office is open at 9030 Pacific Ave. NW in Old Town Silverdale.
Zhang received his medical training at the highly regarded Liao Ning Institute of Chinese Medicine in Shenyang, China. He then worked for a number of years at that hospital practicing general medicine with specialty in acupuncture. Following American board examinations for acupuncture, Zhang moved to Silverdale. He is the first Chinese acupuncturist in the Kitsap region.
Kelleys chiropractic training was at Palmer College in Davenport, Iowa where he graduated with honors. He practiced in Anchorage, Alaska for several years before moving back home to Washington. He has 20 years experience.
Both doctors are offering free consultation and examination services for Business Journal readers throughout November.
