Timberland Bank receives high honors

Timberland Bancorp, the holding company for Timberland Bank, was recently recognized by Washington CEO magazine, The Puget Sound Business Journal, and The Seattle Times as one of the top businesses in the Pacific Northwest. The bank has branches in Poulsbo and Silverdale.

Washington CEO magazine placed Timberland Bancorp 68th among Washington companies using the criteria of market capitalization; an increase over last year’s 78th rank.

The Puget Sound Business Journal ranked Timberland Bancorp 85th among all public companies based in Washington measured by total recorded revenue.

And The Seattle Times listed Timberland Bancorp as one of the Northwest’s Top 100 businesses based on sales growth, market value, and employment opportunity among all businesses headquartered in the Pacific Northwest.

“We’ve had eighteen consecutive quarters with a dividend payout, proving that our growth strategies are on target” said Clarence Hamre, President and CEO of Timberland Bancorp.

Timberland Bancorp recently reported a third quarter earnings-per-share increase of 32 percent over the corresponding quarter of 2001. The 86-year-old Timberland Bank plans an additional Silverdale branch this month.
