The Poulsbo auto dealership stores wastes such as antifreeze and oil filters appropriately in a covered and contained area of the shop, thus ensuring that the materials do not enter the storm drain system and harm water quality. All used oil is siphoned into a double-walled container to eliminate the danger of spillage and leakage. They also contract with licensed hazardous waste companies to handle and remove wastes such as solvents and carburetor cleaner, and the shop recycles antifreeze, batteries, freon refrigerants (from air conditioning systems), metal, radiators, condensers, and paper products such as cardboard and office paper.
