Airporter donates fares to honor victims

The Bremerton-Kitsap Airporter offered free fares on Sept. 11 to honor the more than 3,000 Americans who lost their lives to terrorism at the World Trade Center, and to show appreciation to the thousands of military personnel who safeguard the nation.

The riders made voluntary contributions to Navy/Army Relief agencies.

A total of 253 passengers were carried on the Kitsap Peninsula and contributions totaling $867 were collected for Navy Relief. The 41 Ft. Lewis/McCord passengers carried throughout the day contributed $81.
