McGuire & Associates, a small tax services and bookkeeping firm, has relocated its operations from West Seattle to Port Orchard. Owner Joe McGuire retired from Ernst & Young in January 2001.

The two-person operation focuses on federal and state income and franchise return preparation and general tax consulting for small corporations and sole proprietorships and includes individual returns and bookkeeping.

McGuire has extensive experience in the telecommunication, software, biotech, retail, grocery, credit card and manufacturing industries as well as in tax compliance audit negotiation and penalty abatement.
