Mitchell files to challenge Lantz

Making his second attempt at running for the state legislature, Port Orchard businessman Ed Mitchell, has announced his campaign for state representative from the 26th Legislative District, Position #1. He will challenge incumbent Pat Lantz.

Mitchell, a longtime activist in the Republican Party and a current member of the state GOP’s Executive Board, said he looks forward to representing Peninsula residents in Olympia next year.

“It will be my job to represent everyone in the 26th,” he noted, “and that is a responsibility I take very seriously.”

Mitchell said his priorities will be strengthening children’s education, finding transportation solutions that work for people living on the Peninsula, and standing firm for a responsible, balanced and sustainable budget.
