Harrison Hospital board elects officers

At its recent annual meeting, the Harrison Hospital board of directors elected new officers and one new member. Four board members were re-elected.

A member of the hospital’s board since 1994, Ron Muhleman was elected chairman for a one-year term. A Bremerton native — born at Harrison — Muhleman has spent 30 years at The Sun newspaper and serves as its director of business development.

Carl Cramer, president of Farrell’s Home Health, was elected vice chairman. A member of the hospital board since 1995, he most recently served as secretary/treasurer.

New to the role of secretary/treasurer is David Tinker, MD. A local cardiologist, Tinker has served on the hospital board since 1996 and also as chief of medical staff.

Newly elected to the board is Tim Arnold, president and CEO of Bradley Scott, Inc. a Bremerton commercial real estate firm. Arnold has a longstanding affiliation with Harrison, having previously served as the president of the board of the Harrison Hospital Foundation.

Also joining the board in his role as chief of medical staff is James Rohlfing, MD. Rohlfing is a radiologist with Olympic Radiology.

The board re-elected four members: Ralph Lintz, Willard Anderson, H. Duwain McBride, and Dr. Tinker.

Kathleen McCluskey was honored for her three-year tenure as board chair in which she guided the hospital through a period of tremendous growth that included the opening of Harrison Silverdale, the Radiation Oncology Center, and approval to begin the open-heart and ER expansion projects. McCluskey remains a member of the board.

Also recognized was outgoing chief of medical staff, Jack Hedges, MD, who also served on the board for the past two years.
