Colleen Allen, CPC, of Kitsap ColoRectal Surgery in Bremerton (KCRS), has attained special recognition by the American Association of Professional Coders (AAPC) as a Certified Professional Coder (CPC).

To earn the honor, Allen, who has been with KCRS since 2000, had to demonstrate mastery of medical diagnosis and procedure codes and competency in using those codes to produce medical insurance claims, by successfully completing the AAPC certification examination. Allen joins a select group as there are fewer than 5,000 CPCs nationwide.
