In a move that reflects the growth pattern of the Kitsap Peninsula, the Kitsap Business Journal has announced it will soon expand circulation to, and cover news about, businesses in the Gig Harbor area. It currently covers all of Kitsap County, North Mason County and selected parts of Jefferson County.

“It has long been our goal to become a regional business publication. As we see commercial growth in the Gig Harbor area moving towards Kitsap, we are also seeing many companies serving both markets,” said Lary Coppola, publisher of the Business Journal. “Because of the the quality of life over here, the Narrows Bridge traffic, coupled with the tolls when a new bridge is finally completed, we believe there will be substantial business growth on this side of the bridge to serve a continually increasing population base. We want to be positioned to take advantage of that.”

It is estimated the expansion will increase circulation by about 3,000.
