Big Lots opens at S.K. Mall

Big Lots, the nation’s largest broadline closeout retailer, has opened a second Kitsap store at South Kitsap Mall, which is located at 1700 Mile Drive in Port Orchard. The store is situated in the space formerly occupied by Rite Aid before the drug retailer left the mall to build a stand-alone store at the intersection of Bethel and Lund Avenues.

Big Lots, which operates 1,300 stores in 46 states and does over $3 billion in sales annually, also has a store on Wheaton Way in Bremerton.

Big Lots offers customers brand name consumables, seasonal products, housewares, toys, and gifts at deeply discounted prices.

“We’re pleased to provide consumers in Port Orchard with an opportunity to discover the value, fun, and rewards of closeout shopping,” said Michael J. Potter, chairman and CEO of Big Lots, Inc.

According to a press release from the company, Big Lots offers closeout prices on daily consumables as well as on such unique items as bass boats, golf carts, computers, slot machines, and high quality furniture. “It’s advantageous to shop our stores frequently,” Potter noted. “By aggressively pursuing deals on quality merchandise at great prices, customers never know what hidden treasures they’ll find at our stores from week to week.”.
