The South Kitsap Art Association and several Bay Street merchants will host the third annual art walk on Saturday June 22, from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.

Artwalk 2002 showcases local artists using various mediums including drawing, mosaics, painting, pastel, photography, print, watercolor and more. Many artists will display and demonstrate their work outdoors along Bay Street and inside many of the businesses. A map, highlighting participating artists and merchants, will be available the day of the event. Admission, of course, is free to the public.

A drawing will be held in conjunction with Artwalk 2002. Prizes include an original oil painting by local artist Ernie Akiyoshi and a specialty gift basket prepared by Bay Street merchants. Tickets for the drawing are only $1 with proceeds going to benefit the South Kitsap Art Association High School Scholarship Fund and the Sidney Museum and Art Gallery.
