Former representative Lois McMahan (R) confirmed she is a candidate for Position 2 for the State House of Representatives in the 26th District. She will oppose incumbent Brock Jackley (D-Manchester).
McMahan served a previous term in the State House and was defeated for reelection by current representative Pat Lantz (D-Gig Harbor).
When asked why she is running, McMahan said, My husband and I have five children and four grandchildren. Were concerned about their future will it be safe and will they have an opportunity to make a good life for themselves and the freedom to choose just what that good life will be? This and my love for my country motivates me to work to make sure the next generations have the freedoms and opportunities I have enjoyed. I think September 11th taught all of us that we cant take these things for granted.
McMahan can be reached at (253) 857-7408, which is not long distance from the South Kitsap part of the district, or vote@mcmahans.org, or visit www.mcmahans.org. |
