Curley Creek Antiques recently opened for business in the former Little Habitats building, which is located four miles east of Port Orchard on Locker Road. The shop features a wide array of antiques and collectibles from the early and mid 1900s.
Partners Barbara Sundberg and Stan Ohman have created a unique shopping environment composed of theme rooms and displays. They believe it is much easier to shop for antiques when theyre grouped by subject. For example, jewelry, ladies hats and vintage clothing are in one room. Antique tools, toy cars and trucks and wind-up toys are in another. Theres also a unique gentlemans library and an old-fashioned kitchen in addition to many other interesting rooms and displays.
The shop also has a museum where visitors can view old toys, dolls and other collectibles. A popular activity for kids is a museum scavenger hunt. The museum is free of charge.
Summer hours are 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Thursday to Saturday.
