Seven members of the Olympic College were granted tenure status by the Board of Trustees at their regular meeting last month. Tenure is available to full time faculty after a three-year probationary period that includes self, peer, administrative, and student evaluations designed to promote and encourage academic growth at the college level of instruction.

Earning the tenured status were: Dr. Jeff Brown, Engineering; Thomas Felix, and Geri Hertel, Computer Information Systems; Kim McNamara, Business Management/Office Technology (Olympic College Shelton); Kent Mercer, Librarian; Joanna Salas, Office Technology; and Russell Slaugh, Physical Education.
