Advanced Medical Imaging (AMI) recently debuted its new 1.5 Tesla magnet that utilizes new GE Infinity technology at its facility located behind Harrison Hospital in Bremerton. The 1.5 Tesla magnet is one of the most powerful diagnostic magnetic resonance imaging tools currently available.

The machine can perform scans on the head, neck, shoulder, knees, ankles and just about any other joint in the body. It can also allow for the entire spine to be imaged without moving the patient at all.

Among the new features of the machine over previous technology, are that it allows for faster exam times, as well as offers new technology for early detection of strokes and can perform diagnostic breast imaging. It can also perform state-of-the-art angiography on any part of the body.
