New Web site for heath care workers

Faced with a severe shortage in medical staffing that is estimated to worsen rapidly as baby-boomers retire, members of the Olympic Health Care Alliance have begun a serious recruiting effort that includes using the Internet. They plan to get the word out to health care workers nationwide online about the benefits of living and working on the Kitsap and Olympic Peninsulas.

The new site, www.PracticeInParadise.org, was created by Wave of the Future in Bremerton. It offers detailed information on a variety of subjects that will include community, cost of living, housing, transportation, recreational activities, and direct links to employers. The idea is to get the word to anyone in a health care field about what the West Sound region has to offer, so they truly can “Practice In Paradise.”
