Kingston-based Olympic Printer Resources, Inc., a firm specializing in recycling laser and ink jet printer, fax machine, and copier cartridges as well as equipment repair, is offering free refurbished printers to local charities or other non-profit organizations.
According to co-owner Jeff Petersen, We often are given printers when our clients upgrade to newer version equipment or if they are economically unfeasible to repair. We use the extra equipment to cannibalize for repair parts, but we have several fully functional laser and inkjet printers with years of useable life piling up around our shop.
Petersens partner, Pete DeBoer, who is also president of Kingston Kiwanis stated, We decided to donate our time to refurbish these printers and give them to any organization or agency that could use them that is involved in making our area a better place to live.
The printers are warranted by the firm for 90 days and are free to qualifying organizations. We just ask them to buy the new cartridges we installed in the printers, said DeBoer.
Organizations wishing to secure a reconditioned printer can call (360) 297-8384 or (800) 689-5488, or visit www.olyprinter.com. |
