Designers hold meetings
in “virtual” client lounge

When clients of Bainbridge Island’s Daigle Design need to review a current project, there’s no problem of getting everyone together in one place.

On its Web site, www.daigle.com, the company keeps a section called “Client Lounge” where the client enters a password and can see the most recent version of a project (to try it, type in the password “client”).

“We save our clients and ourselves a lot of time by using the Internet to look at projects that we’re working on,” said Candace Daigle, co-founder of this advertising/design firm. “Universal access to the Web is one of the reasons we can get everyone on the same page quickly and efficiently, even while the projects are still changing.”

It allows all the people who need to see the project, to view is simultaneously from anywhere in the world, or even down the street, using the Internet as the tool. Just add a conference call and you’ve got a “virtual meeting.”

“We’ve used this method for over 5 years and besides making things faster, it also makes sure that everyone’s looking at the most recent version of a project,” added Daigle. “We can show live-motion projects like web sites, flash banners, TV ads and animated retail displays. Plus, it’s fun for our clients too.”
