The Arts –
Artist’s Edge in Manette features Suski

Steve Suski is the featured artist for the month of December at the Artist’s Edge Gallery in Manette.

His paintings, which span over two decades, focus on the themes of home and nature. Both landscapes and interiors capture the feel of the Pacific Northwest with muted color, sensuous shapes and strong lines. Many of the paintings feature cats, reflecting their graceful beauty in an impressionistic manner.

Suski’s other still life paintings draw on the Northwest coffee culture, depicting coffee cups with a quiet charm. These oil and acrylic paintings on canvas and board use layers of color to build up a dynamic, rich surface, which gives life to the subjects.

Suski moved to Olympia from Bremerton in 1980 and has been widely shown there. This is his first show in the Kitsap area.

The exhibition opens Dec. 7 and runs for the entire month.
