Effective Dec. 1, the Hansville recycling drop-box, located off Hansville Road, is closed on Tuesdays. It will continue to operate from 8 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. Wednesday through Monday.

The Poulsbo Recycle Center, on Viking Way near Highway 305, is open for recycling Tuesday through Saturday from 8 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. Garbage is not accepted.

“In response to public demand for more recycling opportunities, we returned scrap metal recycling to the Poulsbo Recycle Center,” said Dave Peters, Kitsap County Recycling Coordinator. All plastic bottles and jugs are accepted except for those used for pesticides, herbicides, or automotive products.
