Farm Kitchen expands services

Farm Kitchen has expanded its offerings to include holiday Gingerbread House Decorating parties, children’s birthday parties, and a weekly Saturday Open House.

The Gingerbread House Decorating Parties take place in December on Saturdays from 3 to 5 p.m. The Farm Kitchen baker “elves” prepare completely edible house construction kits, readying them for creative decorating by kids of all ages. All candies, icing, and other decorations are supplied at party time and each is boxed for easy transport home when completed.

Visitors are welcome at the Saturday morning open houses to enjoy fresh baked rolls, breads, and pies, while meeting neighbors, learning about other local businesses, and enjoying the organic farm on Pt. Gamble Road between Bond and Gunderson Roads.

The Farm Kitchen opened in May of 2000, offering a Health Department-approved, commercially equipped kitchen for hourly or regular rental by caterers and local wholesale food product businesses. Two farmers also supply their top-rated organic vegetables to the caterers working out of Farm Kitchen. Cooking and baking classes taught by regional food experts, and community food events featuring fresh Northwest food products are also offered.
