Bainbridge Performing Arts (BPA) will welcome HA! Comedy Improv! to The Playhouse on Oct. 6. The October performance includes American Sign Language interpretation by Marc Schmitz. Those who have never been to an improv show before will quickly realize that nothing the performers do is scripted. They are literally making it up as they go along. Unburdened by preconceived notions for dialogue, plot, situation, and characters, they look to the audience for impromptu material. Regardless of this apparent lack of preparation, the audience is virtually guaranteed a riotous evening.
HA! is directed by Ken Ballenger and produced in conjunction with The EDGE. The troupe provides improvisational comedy for theatre and special events throughout the northwest.
HA! Comedy Improv! will be performed at 7:30 p.m. Tickets are $8 for students and seniors, $10 for adults, and are available at The Playhouse, 200 Madison Ave. N. They may also be charged by phone at (206) 842-8569. BPA Box Office hours are Tuesday through Saturday, 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. |
