Jewel Box announces 2001-2002 lineup

Poulsbo’s Jewel Box theater recently announced an exciting line-up of plays, including three Northwest premiers, for the 2001-2002 season.

Opening on Oct. 19 and playing Friday and Saturday nights at 8 p.m. through Nov. 17 is “Skyscraper” a witty comedy by David Auburn who recently won the Pulitzer Prize.

This is followed Feb. 15 through March 16 by “Off the Map” a quirky comedy by Joan Ackermann, a sensational young playwright, whose “Marcus is Walking” last year so delighted audiences.

Next up April 12 through May 4 is “Labor Day,” a comedy of manners by A.R. Gurney, the author of “Love Letters” and probably America’s leading contemporary playwright.

The season ends with the uproarious comedy “Nice People Dancing to Good Country” by Lee Blessing, a definite audience pleaser showing May 31 through June 29.

Brochures with information on the coming season, including ways to save money with season passes and Flexipasses, were recently sent to the entire Jewel Box mailing list.
