Kitsap County received a clean bill of health from state auditors for the period of Jan.1 through December 31, 2000.

The state performed audit procedures to determine whether the County complied with state laws and regulations, its own policies and procedures, and federal grant requirements. It also audited the general purpose financial statements and evaluated the internal controls established by County management.

The auditors work focused on specific areas that have high risk potential for abuse or misuse of public resources, and found that Kitsap County had complied with all state laws and regulations, federal regulations and its own policies and procedures in the areas it examined.
