The Sidney Art Gallery in Port Orchard recently announcing the winners of its Woman Painters of Washington’s membership competition. Over 60 professional artists competed in this all female group for the 18 separate awards. Well known Belfair artist and Bremerton gallery owner Amy Burnett was the juror.

The winners are: Northwest Watercolor Society Award: Jeanne Davis for “Wenatchee River Bend;” Jule Kullberg Memorial Award: Cheryl Leslie Smith for “Three;” Mercer Island Arts League Award: Pia Messina for “Dreaming of a Song;” Eastside Fine Arts Assoc.
