Haselwoods make another donation
to O.C. library

The Olympic College Foundation recently received a $50,000 contribution from Chuck and Joanne Haselwood for the Haselwood Library Endowment Fund. The contribution is their second major gift to the fund since they established the endowment in April of last year. Earnings from the fund — which now totals more than $100,000 — will be used to support the general operating expenses of the library.

Since making the lead gift of $250,000 to the capital campaign, the Haselwoods have contributed more than $350,000 to Olympic College for the support of the new library which was named in their honor.

“Chuck and Joanne Haselwood understand the importance of giving back to their community,” said Cary Bozeman, executive director of the Olympic College Foundation. “Certainly, Olympic College has benefited from that commitment but other worthy organizations have benefited as well. We are proud to count then, among our supporters and are genuinely grateful for their dedication to the students of this college.”

The Haselwoods own the local Chevrolet, Buick, Oldsmobile, Pontiac, Cadillac,GMC, Toyota, Chrtsler, Jeep and Honda dealerships.

Founded in 1993, the Olympic College Foundation receives gifts for the benefit of Olympic College students. As a private, non-profit organization, the Foundation seeks contributions for student scholarships, program enhancements, capital projects, as well as cultural events and activities that enrich the entire college community.
