Two members of the staff at Carlson Wagonlit Travel in Silverdale recently earned industry professional certifications.

Astrid Adams, CTC, ACC, a travel consultant with Carlson Wagonlit Travel in Silverdale, recently completed the requirements for Cruise Line International Association’s (CLIA) Cruise Counselor Certification Program. Adams is now recognized by the cruise industry as an Accredited Cruise Counselor.

In achieving the certification Adams had to learn all aspects of the cruise vacation experience through extensive classroom training and personal cruise product involvement.

Kathleen Johnson, ACC, CTA has earned the Certified Travel Associate (CTA) designation from the Institute of Certified Travel Agents (ICTA). The CTA is the first level of certification and focuses on skills necessary for effective practice through a twelve-course program. CTA candidates are required to possess at least 18 months of full-time industry experience.
