OC announces communication
specialist program

Olympic College recently announced a new course aimed at training people to work as dispatchers and at call centers. The Communication Center Specialist professional-technical program requires 18 credits and 190-hours of instruction. It also includes a 30-hour supervised internship.

A Certificate of Recognition will be awarded to students who satisfactorily complete the course and demonstrate keyboarding skills of 45 WPM or greater.

Classes begin Sept. 5 and end Dec. 22. They are held on Wednesdays from 4:30 to 9 p.m. and Saturdays from 8 a.m. until 5 p.m. at the main campus in Bremerton. The cost is approximately $900 which includes tuition, fees, and books.
