KPS Health Plans recently announced that three new managers have joined the executive staff of Bremerton-based health care provider. The announcement was made by KPS President Elizabeth Gilje.
Hiroshi Nakano has been named director of provider relations and Terry McLaughlin is the new director of sales, with Ramon Dominquez named director of underwriting and analysis.
All three have extensive backgrounds in health care management.
Nakano brings over 20 years experience in the medical services/provider relations field to KPS. He holds an MBA degree from Cornell University from the Sloan Program in Hospital and Health Services Administration, along with a BA in Sociology from the University of Washington. He has worked for Providence Medical Center, UNISYN Biowaste Technology, Wilson International Consulting Group, the consulting group of Lykes & Nakano, International Community Health Services, Valley Physicians Organization (VPO), and most recently Regence BlueShield.
McLaughlin accepted her first insurance related position in 1977 as an agent for Lincoln National Life Insurance Company. Over the past years she has worked in various senior-level sales and marketing positions for companies such as United Healthcare, SAFECO, Group Health Cooperative of Puget Sound, Americare of Washington, HealthNet in Sacramento, Blue Shield of California, and OUCH. -MORE
Dominquez brings eight years of actuarial and health care financial experience to the firm. He has worked with United Healthcare and Premier Healthcare. Most recently he was with FirstChoice Health Network He holds a B.S. in accounting and recently completed his executive MBA at the University of Washington. |
