Two of Poulsbo’s largest independent insurance brokerage firms, Edgren Insurance and Longnecker-JRO merged on August 1. The new firm will be known as Edgren, Hecker and Lemmon Insurance.

“This merger allows us to offer a broader range of companies, products and services to our customers,” says Brian Edgren, President. “Longnecker-JRO has been providing superior products and service in our community for over 40 years, and Edgren for over 60 years.”

The new agency will have 12 employees representing several leading insurance companies. “Our new organization will provide excellent customer service and represent only those companies that provide superior value for our clients,” commented vice president Rich Hecker.

Todd Lemmon added, “We understand that insurance is not a commodity. It’s a people business, requiring a high degree of relationship and trust. It’s a promise to be there in times of need, and we take this promise seriously.”

The agency will maintain the existing Jensen Way and Lindvig Way offices, as well as their e-mail addresses, telephone and fax numbers for the time being.
