Dr. Derek K Boyden has joined Dr. Michael Kulikowski in his practice of oral and maxillofacial surgical services. at the South Kitsap Healthcare Campus.

In addition to board certified oral and maxillofacial surgical services, the pair will also provide the more complex orthagnathic, facial cosmetic and skin surgeries, maxillofacial reconstruction and craniofacial truma procedures.

Boyden earned his Doctor of Dental Surgery (DDS) from Northwestern University in Chicago. His four year post-doctoral training included residencies in Los Angeles and Chicago. He completed his oral and maxillofacial surgery residency in 1998 at the Montefiore Center and Albert Einstein College of Medicine in New York.

Boyden also spent 18 months at the famous Institute of Facial Surgery in Missoula, Montana.

He joins Kulikowski’s practice after working with a small family group practice working with his father in southeastern South Dakota.

According to Kulikowski, the pair will rename the practice, although a new name hasn’t been selected as of yet.
