Chris Witkowski, whose inspiration comes from her fascination with the visual beauty of nature, will be featured at Bainbridge Arts and Crafts from July 7 to 29. There will be a gallery talk on July 7 at 2 p.m.

Her subjects are the fleeting moments of sunlight during the spring yellows of mountain aspen or the hesitancy of a young bird poised for its first attempt at flight. As she loses herself in the meticulous execution of her art, the process becomes meditation for the artist, the painting, an intensely focused vision of nature’s incredible palette and poignancy for the viewer.
