Washington State vehicle owners now have the option of renewing their license plate tabs online thanks to a new service called Internet Tabs. The Dept. of Licensing services provides a secure way to renew car tabs using a Visa or MasterCard for payment — an option not yet available when renewing by mail or in person.

Customers choose whether to have their new registration and tab mailed or ready for pick up at a local vehicle licensing office. If the mail option is chosen, the tab is automatically sent to the address that appears on the department’s record for that vehicle.

Customers choosing to pick up their registration and tab are provided with a list of statewide vehicle service offices. Identification is required when the tab and registration are picked up. To access Internet Tabs, go to www.InternetTabs.wa.gov.
