Kitsap Peninsula Visitor and Convention Bureau (VCB) executive director Grant Griffin has been elected to the post of secretary of the Washington Association of Convention and Visitor Bureaus (WACVB).

WACVB is comprised of tourism professionals from all over the state who represent local agencies such as the VCB that are tasked with promoting and marketing their individual regions of the state as tourist and convention venues.

In those positions, they work closely with local members of the hospitality and restaurant industries, the Washington State Tourism Department in Olympia, corporations, the media and myriad of other groups all aimed at bringing tourist dollars both into the state and to their regions.
